At the moment, the population of our little village by the sea has increased by … I have no idea; feels like 2000 percent, I’d say. Whereas the weather has been dull all around, when it comes to the Faroe Islands, we enjoyed a perfect summer day; and we still do. Over the day, lots of visitors from other islands have arrived. The Faroese love to explore their own country, many go camping, all generations. Kids swim in our gorge or wade through our creek; toys everywhere in the village, improvised sun beds on roofs, not one space left on our little camping site. Summertime, and the livin’ is easy, fish are jumping, and the grass is high. Next on the agenda: hay making. Later on the terrace: home-made rhubarb juice.
