Following the slogan „Always have coffee at breathtaking places“, I bought a camping chair last year, originally for a trip through the Icelandic highlands. On Iceland, my chair met geysers, glaciers and volcanos. Afterwards, I showed him around his new home – Faroe Islands.
One doesn’t need a camping chair to discover the archipelago. But I drive around with my fully foldable chair in my car trunk, anyway. Simply because many landscapes on Faroe Islands are like paintings. Spontaneously, I get out of the car, unfold my chair, pick a location – the perfect angle is important – and sit down in the middle of one of those paintings. I always bring coffee in a Thermos bottle and some cookies, too.
The pictures that go with this blog post, I took at Gjógv in the northern part of Eysturoy. Enjoy the magnificent view and my video. I love to watch those waves move.
